Kwanti Safaris
has its own camp on the banks of the Great Fish River, surrounded by the
60,000 hectares of the Andries Vosloo Kudu Reserve, Doubledrift Game
Reserve and Sam Knott Reserve.
Here you will stay in
modern tents, with the luxury of flush toilets and hot showers. Apart
from our individual care and attention to your comfort, that is about as
far as we go with the mod cons. The camp has been constructed with
minimal impact on nature, and there is no electricity. Cooking is done
over open fires.
The river offers good
fishing, but be careful not to hook one of the hippos!
In the hippo-free
stretches of the river we do some rafting and tubing over mild rapids,
and splash into the water from the cableway.
We further offer horse
riding, night walks to see the shy creatures, abundant bird watching,
hiking along our 15 km of river banks, and day trips where our vehicles
wade through the river at the historical Fort Doubledrift to reach the
spectacular Adam Krantz viewpoint, and the game rich Inyati camp of
Double Drift Game Reserve.
